This
parchment paper craft originated in Europe and came to South
America after Columbus. Martha Ospina rediscovered the craft,
taking it back to Europe. The craft now utilises an imitation
parchment paper with special properties which makes many
techniques such as tracing out patterns, colouring with paint
and ink, perforating, cutting, embossing (raising a pattern in
relief) and dorsing (applying colour to the back of the
parchment paper) easy to accomplish. "Using these techniques
you can create a variety of cards, envelopes, bookmarks gift
tags and boxes, candle shades and decorations. The completed
work can be flat or three dimensional.
Each pack contains an assortment of different patterns. The packs come in a variety of series, and with the full instructions.
